Bluegrass/Jam – Ft. Collins, CO
From the open mics of Fort Collins, to some of the most prestigious stages in the nation, Good Gravy is taking the jamgrass scene by storm with a live energy that practically dares people not to dance. The quintet – Jeremy Page (guitar, vocals), Ross Montgomery (mandolin), Evan Brenton (bass), Kyle VanBuskirk (percussion, trumpet, synth) and Nick Deyo holding it down on drums – are said to “melt the heart, as well as the face.”
With a nod to their predecessors from Colorado (String Cheese Incident, Yonder Mountain String Band, Leftover Salmon), Good Gravy blends bluegrass, rock, folk, jazz, and Caribbean music, taking modern songwriting to new and exciting realms. Good Gravy has just finished tracking on their sophomore album with producer Nat Keefe (Hot Buttered Rum), which is set for release this fall. With their earthy palette of hard-driving rhythms, intense improvisational jams, and electric instrumentation, Good Gravy is poised to usher in the next generation of groundbreaking, roots-infused music from the Colorful State, one stage at a time.
Be ready to boogie. This party’s going all night.
